She has more than 10 years of experience in commercial and investment arbitration and has advised leading multinational companies and international governments in complex and high-value cases. She has extensive experience representing corporations, foreign investors and states in arbitrations under the rules of ICSID, ICC, ICDR and UNCITRAL, across a variety of sectors including telecommunications, construction, shipping and chemical. Representative work includes: ICA arbitration against Mexican state entity CFE, in relation to one of Latin America´s most important hydroelectric projects, ($160 million); Anheuser Busch InBev´s arbitration defense against Grupo Modelo´s claim ($1.5 billion); UNCITRAL arbitration between a Bolivian company against the Republic of Ecuador related to a concession agreement. Additionally, she has solid experience in administrative law and state contracts. She has participated as either counsel or secretary to arbitral tribunals in cases involving public biddings and concessions. Furthermore, she has international experience on an educational and professional level, having worked in Paris at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and studied in Europe in both England and Spain.
