  • Edmond is a partner of Von Wobeser y Sierra. He is the leader of our Energy & Natural Resources and Environmental practices. In addition, he is part of the ESG (Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance) practice group and coordinator of the Energy and Natural Resources industry practice group. He is a member of the German Desk.


    Edmond has more than twenty years of experience in energy and environmental law matters, where he has advised some of the most important international companies, including several Fortune 500.

    He has broad experience in infrastructure project development, especially in the energy and natural resources sector; in public tender and auction processes; and in the negotiation of contracts related to the energy industry, such as power purchase agreements; engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) agreements; operation and maintenance (O&M) agreements, and project finance and development, especially clean energy, including combined cycle and efficient cogeneration.

    For more than twenty years, Edmond has also participated in administrative verification and sanctions proceedings, and in administrative litigation related to environmental and energy matters. He assists his clients in complying with environmental and regulatory regulations in their daily business activities. His practice includes matters involving social impact, sustainability, carbon offsets, climate change, social and indigenous consultations. He has worked and/or studied in Berlin, Mainz, Frankfurt, Heidelberg, Boston and Mexico City.

    Edmond is actively involved in pro bono activities, advising and collaborating with environmental organizations such as the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), Pronatura, the Consejo Consultivo del Agua and Amigos de Sian Ka’an.

    He has been recognized by Chambers and Partners Latin America, The Legal 500, Latin Lawyer 250, Latin Lawyer National, IFLR1000, Who’s Who Legal Mexico, Energy & Infrastructure Latin America and Benchmark Litigation. He has written articles on energy and environmental law for IFLR1000, Latin Lawyer 250, the journal of the Centro de Estudios Jurídicos y Ambientales, The Wall Street Journal, Financier Worldwide and the American Bar Association, among other publications and associations.
