International commerce is an area whose importance has been growing in Mexico as a result of its participation in international treaties and foreign commerce mechanisms, and in this regard our Firm assists our clients in obtaining the benefits derived from administrative programs to promote the importation and manufacture of goods (PITEX, Maquila, etc), and provides advice in all legal aspects related to customs treatment and processing of merchandise.

As a complement to the above, the Firm has accumulated much experience advising our clients in matters regulated by the Free Trade Agreements signed by Mexico, including the North American Free Trade Agreement. In this regard, some members of our Firm collaborated directly with the working groups that negotiated and gave advice in the negotiations of such free trade agreement.

Our legal services related to the maquiladora companies merit special mention. In addition to carrying out the procedures necessary to obtain the different governmental benefits granted to the maquiladoras, we provide all the other services related to their organization and operation, including legal services in the corporate, real estate, labor and tax areas, among others.
